Vicks VapoRub misuse 'could make colds worse'

US scientists believe that Vicks VapoRub could cause breathing problems if given to infants and small children after studying its effect on ferrets, whose airways are similar to humans. A spokesman for Proctor and Gamble said: - Vicks VapoRub has a long-standing history of being safe and effective when used according to package directions.
