Each year hundreds of festivalgoers who have either fainted or suffered panic attacks are treated in medical tents. Medical teams noticed that as soon as they were well enough to text their friends, they were generally well enough to rejoin the action. The test could work in busy A&E units, doctors told the British Medical Journal.

Research, in the European Heart Journal, found heart attacks were a third more likely in people under 50 with panic disorders. The University College London researchers said panic disorders might trigger nervous system changes which could help clog arteries. But others suggested panic attacks might trigger unhealthy behaviour [More Research Required].
