Sex 'problem' for cancer patients

Cancer patients are unable to rebuild their lives because they are not receiving the psychosexual support they are entitled to, a charity says. Three-quarters of patients surveyed by Macmillan Cancer Support said their sexual relationships had been affected. Most had not been offered any advice by professionals despite national guidelines stating they should have access to this kind of counselling.

It's more likely you'll hear of a man being a sex addict than a woman. But Newsbeat's own research has found that there's a growing number of females seeking help for the condition in the UK. Many therapists in the US say it's the same there. Rob Weiss, a sex addiction specialist, estimates around 20% of sex addicts in America are women.
