ECG test for angina patients is found to be 'worthless'

Two million Britons have angina and tens of thousands with suspected angina take ECG tests every year. But the study of almost 5,000 patients given an exercise ECG found that 47% of those given a clean bill of health went on to have a heart attack or other serious cardiac problem. The level of success was hardly any better than a simple clinical assessment by a doctor.
