Mother's heartache after Huntington's disease stole her family

When her loving GP husband started becoming irrational and bad-tempered, Fiona though it might just be the pressures of work. But, he suffered from a fatal degenerative illness. Huntington's disease is estimated to affect around 8,000 people in the UK. In adults the symptoms usually appear between 35 and 50. A blood test was introduced around 20 years ago.
